Hello Blackjacks!

This past week, we introduced two new features for YGL: YGLadies Awards and YGL Classified System.  Today, we are excited to announce one more new feature that we have been been anxiously waiting to launch.  We've seen how popular the game section of the forum is, so we are adding a new feature that can bring that sense of fun to members' profiles.

So, without future ado, we introduce the (currently tentatively titled)

ibEconomy Marketplace

At our Marketplace, YGL members can "purchase" virtual items with "spades," the virtual currency of YGL. You can buy 2NE1 fan goods/songs, pets, clothes, and much, much more. Members can then display their purchased items within their profile to show off their personality as Blackjacks!

Creating a Post/Starting a Topic earns 5 spades

Replying to a Post earns 1 spade

Replying to a Post in the "Section of the Month" earns 2 spades

Liking another Post earns 5 spades

Having your Post liked earns 10 spades

Only 20 likes per day will count!

July's Section of the Month is "Welcome to YGL"

Not only will members be able to buy and sell back their items, they can also donate and save their spades.  We'll be holding special contests and events for additional ways to earn spades.  In fact, you have a chance right now to earn up to 1000 Spades in our contest to give our new feature a name. UPDATES: June 2012 Awardees, July 2012 Awardees

With over 43,000 members, YGLadies is a vast community of Blackjacks consisting of a wide variety of interesting individuals. We have the writers, the artists, the musicians, a wide range of staff and the biggest category of all, the fantastically lively fangirls/fanboys!

Among these members there have been an increasing amount of you who regularly make us incredibly proud to not only to be YGLadies members, but also Blackjacks. Your contributions, from huge to small gestures are the things that keep this forum warm, running smoothly and home-like for thousands of people.

We have only been able to maintain YGLadies status as the #1 international forum & fansite for 2NE1 Fans, with the help of you all.  Our gratitude to YGlers knows no bounds.  Although it is difficult for us to do anything flashy, YGLadies has for some time now wanted to thank our members in a more concrete way...so we established an Award System!

As a HUGE thank you to outstanding YGL members, we are introducing YGLadies Awards.  YGL Awards are distinctions awarded by Admins for outstanding contributions to the community.  In addition, we intend to use the Award System for contests, and other forum activities.  YGL Awards are graphic badges that will appear on your profile and under your display picture when you post.

Currently, there are 6 Awards which we intend to give out monthly.  We may from time to time, add or remove awards depending on the circumstances.

As you have probably already noticed, YGLadies has been given a major virtual makeover -- our new layout "Still Waiting in 2013.  Our number one goal with this new layout is member ease-of-use and convenience though some things may seem a bit confusing in time, WE HOPE, you will learn to love the changes. Our Tech Admins and Graphic Designers/Illustrators have been working very hard to bring you a great new platform to do all your 2NE1 spazzing.

If you don't see a new layout, log-in and log back out; it should be visible then.

Check out some of the major changes below and if ever you have any questions or are confused about something, feel free to drop us a comment.

FORUM

• Menu: We have streamlined our buttons moving them to a more prominent place than on the last layout. Use the MORE drop-down arrow to be linked to all of our important sections/SNS Channels.

NOTE: Because of the new feature, Auto width resizing, some members might see the 'Menu' this way:

• User Panel: Before, it was located at the upper part of the forum, but with the new layout the team decided to put it below (and it's floating for easy access)

• Header (2NE1 Spazz Thread), (YGL ♥ 2NE1) & (Show | Hide): For quick access to some of our important/popular threads without having to go into the right forum subsection just click the button. In the future, we may add 'Fanfic of the Month', 'Art Gallery of the Week' and/or other periodic recognition to spotlight some of the great sections of the forum.

• Background Picker: With this new feature, you can choose any background you want to use

• Classic View VS Grid View: This new feature allows members to choose how they want to view the forum. Classic view or Grid view? It's your choice!

You can see it at the 'User Panel' below the forum besides the search function, but only on the main page of the forum not while you are in a thread, see image below:

• We have added 'forum width's Auto Resize' to prevent horizontal scrolling: With this feature regardless of your computer's screen size the forum will automatically adjust to fit your screen. This works to avoid the dreaded horizontal scroll bar for everyone.

• The relaunch of the ibEconomy, we finally have a name: Many of you have been wondering what the final results of our poll to choose a name.  We are proud to tell you that henceforth iBEconomy will be called Spades Street Marketplace or Spades St for short. Also, now that the layout work is fairly complete, our Illustrators will have more time to focus on adding new fresh goods to our Spades Street Marketplace!

• The launch of the 21st Street section of the forum is changing to YG Family Corner:  The threads currently in Social Lounge related to YG Family artists/activities will be moved to this new sections.  Members who are selling items in the 21st Street Section will have to move all their items to our classified by the end of the month your threads will be closed then.

• The NEWSBOX section has been archived:  As some of you may have noticed, the Newsbox has been relatively quiet over the last few weeks, while both Talk2NE1 and our blog Access have been much more active.  Well there is a reason for this: after much contemplating, we have decided to retire the Newsbox as of today.  As has been the case for a few months now, all breaking news will be posted to our blog Access moving forward so that everyone, not just members, will be able to follow 2NE1's activities.  For non-urgent or rumor-type information, Talk 2NE1 will become the home base for our lovely Blackjacks to discuss all things 2NE1.

ACCESS

To make our blog ACCESS more user-friendly we have added new features and widened the layout for easier readability.

• Follow ACCESS.  Wordpress has an option where you input your email and it will send you periodic updates of the blog's posts. We have added that feature to ACCESS. Just enter your email as shown below and voila, never miss an update.

• Affiliate System: You asked and we created! YGladies is launching a new affiliate program to better manage and nurture our relationships with other 2NE1 fansites. Not all fansites that request affiliation will be granted such. We are going to be adding translated forms in the near future for fansite admins who are not 100% confident in English.

What we are looking for:

Preference to 2NE1 sites dedicated to all four girls.

Preference to sites that create original posts, provide translations, provide subbed videos or offer other key services to Blackjacks and not just repost/reblog.

Preference to non-English based sites.

Must have an actual website and not just SNS channels.

Website must have been active for at least 6 months.

Must have a link to YGLadies.com on your site.

What you will get:

A link back to your site on our page.

An Official YGLadies Affiliate Logo.

A Unique YGLadies Affiliate Number [YGL000].

• New Pages: We have added a host of new pages, as well as a updates to our various 2NE1 profile pages.

Lyrics Page -- We have updated ACCESS with all the romanized/translated song lyrics that were previously only available on our forum.

Video Links -- We try not to bombard the ACCESS Blog with picture posts and/or video posts that are already posted in Eye Candy or Streaming Media. However, we know fans may want a easy way to track down that one particular video or fancam or clip.  

Eye Candy --  COMING SOON! The most comprehensive location of 2NE1 photos would be the YGLadies Gallery.  However, we have also provided an index page on our ACCESS Blog to our Eye Candy posts of images, caps, photoshoots and all other images of the girls.

A special thanks to Tech Admin Aleena and Deanna for their amazing initial work on deciding the layout and overall look of the forum.  OOODLES and OODLES of love to Tech Admin yuufa101820★6 and Haji for getting all the details to work together with features we already had in store and overseeing the completion of the layouts.  Thanks wholeheartedly to Tech Admin ladyrozeh for beautifying our blog ACCESS and making it match the forum so very well. Our gratitude to YGL's Graphic Designers/Illustrators and web designer Deanna for making all the cool new backgrounds, buttons, and icons for the new layout.


We also want to thank all our staff for giving the layout a hearty test run to work out the kinks and inconsistencies.
